Igor Gnyp

Director of Finance, Baton Systems

Igor joined Baton in August 2022, bringing over 15 years of experience across financial planning and forecasting, and investment banking. Prior to joining the company Igor spent several years working as a Consultant advising start-ups on financial planning and strategy across the payments, blockchain, crypto, FMCG, and real estate industries. During this period Igor advised a family office on direct and LP investments, and portfolio management, worked for a start-up focused on bringing cost efficiency in international payments to freelancers and consulted for a US-based remittance company.

Prior to which, Igor worked at a Fortune 500 company in Financial Planning and Business Development. As Financial Planning Manager, Igor was responsible for budgeting, long-range plans, actuals reporting, and business partnerships in a market with $1+ billion in operating profit. He led two strategic cross-functional projects: the acquisition of a 20% share in a distributor for $750 million and an expansion of the supply chain footprint.

Previously, Igor spent 6 years in investment banking with Bank of America and Citigroup in the US and in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). During his tenure at the firms, Igor closed $4 billion of transactions including IPOs, complex debt financings and buy and sell-side M&As. During this time Igor solidified his financial modeling and valuation skills and gained significant exposure to large corporates.

Igor holds a BA in Economics from Colby College in the US and an MBA from INSEAD. In his free time Igor enjoys cycling, sailing, and hiking and he’s also an avid reader and traveler.
