Job Title: Senior Program Manager

Job Purpose

As a Senior Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bridging high-level strategy with execution. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Product, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and deploying complex capabilities to our clients and the market. You will act as a critical leader within our fast-paced environment, managing a team to ensure our product initiatives deliver on organizational Objectives & Key Results (OKRs).

Education

Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, an MBA, or a related field.

Key Accountabilities

• Program Leadership & Execution: Lead the end-to-end delivery of product/infrastructure programs, ensuring they align with the company’s vision and strategic objectives.
• Global Client Interaction: Facilitate seamless collaboration with Baton’s client base across time zones, acting as the primary liaison between the Chennai-based delivery teams and clients based in the United States and Europe.
• Team Management & Mentorship: Manage and mentor staff by reviewing work outputs and ensuring they follow organizational quality standards.
• Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the Group Head of Product and cross-functional teams to define scope, deliverables, required resources, and work plans.
  • Create comprehensive project plans and collaborate on deliverables for customers to meet their timelines.
• Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, delays, or dependencies across and within projects to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Experience: Proven track record in program management, preferably within Financial Services or FinTech. A functional understanding of settlements and post-trade workflows in capital markets is a plus for this role.
• Leadership: Experience managing or coordinating tasks within teams and a strong ability to mentor junior analysts.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of project management tools such as Jira or MS Project, along with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis.
• Certifications: PMP certification or equivalent practical knowledge of project/program management concepts is highly preferred.
• International Communication Literacy: Proven ability to navigate Western corporate environments, with the soft skills necessary to lead client meetings and manage stakeholder expectations across the US and EMEA regions.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
