Arjun Jayaram founded Baton Systems, and has spent the past decade building the company to transform how financial institutions manage liquidity, collateral and payments in an increasingly real-time and interconnected financial ecosystem.

Over that time, he has worked closely with some of the world’s leading banks to address complex operational, risk, and funding challenges. Arjun is widely recognised as a thought leader in intraday liquidity and real-time settlement, focused on helping institutions achieve real-time visibility, control and greater capital efficiency without replacing core systems.

Under his leadership, Baton’s platform now supports critical post-trade cash and securities operations, processing nearly $30 billion in value each day for clients that include seven of the nine largest western banks.

Arjun is the author of multiple white papers on intraday liquidity management and an active contributor to Federal Reserve task forces and ISDA working groups. Prior to founding Baton, he held leadership roles at Dwolla and Twitter and co-founded Compass Labs, a machine-learning advertising platform later acquired by Yahoo.
