Alistair Griffiths

Director of EMEA Sales, Baton Systems

Alistair joined Baton in November 2022 from FIS Global where he led the sales operation for the UK, Channel Islands and the Netherlands for Post-Trade Solutions. He brings extensive experience of collateral management from both a buy and sell side perspective, having previously spent seven years in the EMEA Securities Lending Product Services group at Blackrock Advisors and a further eight years as a Sales and Relationship Manager in BNY Mellon’s Clearance and Collateral Management business.

Alistair’s focus is on providing a strategic view to the market so that solutions can be tailored to specific client needs. Throughout his career he has been committed to developing and strengthening relationships both internally and across the wider financial markets in order to better serve the rapidly changing requirements of the collateral space. Following notable successes in the new markets and counterparty space at Blackrock, at BNY Mellon he successfully sourced and grew tri party collateral management activity across the global market.

Alistair has led or participated in a number of industry groups dedicated to establishing best practice and upholding regulatory requirements, most recently chairing BNY Mellon’s Buy Side Forum, a group of 15-20 market participants looking to drive development in both the product and regulatory fields.

Prior to Blackrock, Alistair began his career as a Financial Analyst with Agilent Technologies before moving into settlement roles at Man Financial and subsequently at UBS. He holds a degree in French and Business Administration from Keele University, UK.
